Where's My Refund

Refund Information

K & K Tax Services - Where's My Refund
You can generally access information about your refund 72 hours after IRS acknowledges receipt of your e-filed return, or three to four weeks after mailing a paper return. Have a copy of your tax return handy.
You will need to provide the following information from your return:
Your Social Security Number or TIN
Filing status
The exact whole dollar amount of your refund

Refund information for the most current tax year that you filed will be available on Where’s My Refund. Prior tax year return information, if filed after your most current year tax return, will not be available.

Example: You filed your 2010 tax return on January 1, 2011 and then filed your 2009 tax return on February 1, 2011. The information available on Where’s My Refund will be for the 2010 tax return even though you filed your 2009 return after your 2010 return.

Please note: Amended tax return (Form 1040X) information is not available on Where's My Refund. If you are looking for amended return information, please contact one of the consultants at K & K Tax Services.
How long will my refund information be available?
If you filed your return before July 1, the account information will remain available on Where’s My Refund until around the second or third week in December. If you filed your return on or after July, your refund information will remain available throughout the following year until you file a tax return for a more current tax year.
What if my refund was returned to the IRS by the U.S. Post Office?
In most cases, you will be able to update your address on file with the IRS, online, if your refund check is returned to us. Where's My Refund will prompt you when the address change feature is available for your situation. If your refund check was returned to us as undeliverable by the U.S. Post Office, on or after July 1, your refund information will remain available on Where’s My Refund throughout the following year until you file tax return for a more current tax year.
